Dear Applicant and rightsholder,
Fees for maintaining a Eurasian patent in force are paid after its issuance annually on the date corresponding to the filing date of the Eurasian application. Annual fee can be paid within a grace period of six months.
For the continuation of a Eurasian patent in each EAPO country, the patent owner must indicate the name of each EAPO country in which he wishes the patent to continue. Such an indication shall be sent to the Eurasian Office simultaneously with the payment of the fee for maintaining the Eurasian patent in force. This fee is payable in respect of each designated EAPO country.
The patent owner may pay an annual fee for maintaining the Eurasian patent in force in relation to the specific EAPO country in which the patent owner wishes the patent to continue.
Also, patent owner may pay annual fee for maintaining the Eurasian patent in force in relation to all EAPO countries in which the Eurasian patent is valid on the date of payment of the fee, or separately for each EAPO country during the entire period of validity of Eurasian patent.
For example patent owner may pay an annual fee only for Kazakhstan or for all EAPO countries.
